Lagaria pinot grigio wine is made from grapes meticulously cultivated in the southwest-facing vineyards of the lagarina valley, which is situated south of trento and northeast of lake garda. The unique climate of the region, characterized by warm air currents from the lake and cooler ones from the dolomites, results in a significant temperature variation between day and night. This diurnal temperature swing is beneficial for enhancing the wine’s aromatic fragrance and the intensity of its bouquet. The vineyards boast a diverse terrain, varying from clayey to a cooler composition of calcareous and sandy soils. Vines, aged between 5 to 25 years, are trained using the guyot and casarsa methods and are located at an elevation ranging from 656 to 1,640 feet. The wine is harvested with a yield of approximately 3 kilograms (6.6 pounds) per vine, with the picking process traditionally taking place in early september.
